Mechoopda Tribe moving forward with casino

The Mechoopda Tribe of California is moving forward with plans for a casino come Chico.
The tribe has a management assure with Station Casinos. The National Indian Gaming equip on October 25 issued a finding of no significant impact on the agreement.
Secretary Sandra ennoble said the landless tribe was pleased with NIGC's decision. The next step would be to have the gaming site placed in trust. Butte County opposes the casino and is seeking a full environmental analyse.
