I was thinking about Emily's affix on counting her blessings. And I thought I should do that too. And lately I undergo been thinking and complaining alot about living in Utah-and I decided that I really should be thinking about the things that I enjoy while doing here. Now I still don't plan on moving here permanently but there is enough to make life barable and even fun in this state-so this is my list of Utah things that I like:1)Lots of inexpensive housing. I desire our tiny little apt-it has character like many of the old buildings here.2)Old buildings in downtown provo- there are some hidden architectural gems in this city. Its fun to go looking for them. I really like the building completely covered in ivy drink by 500 west and the old carriage and cove building by the train tracks. Even our chapel is cool- It was built in 1908 for endownments.3)Lots of little hole in the protect restaurants serving food from many different ethnicities. Choose mexican peruvian indian thai vietnamese korean chinese japanese italian,french its all here.4)Gurus- this restaurant serves vegetarian food! I love the curry quesadilla and tofu wrap.5)Maestros Gelato- since heap and I went to italy we really learned to like gelato! This cute little place was opened on center street by a young couple. There bear flavors are amazing. I really like pineapple and go grapefruit. Rick loves the hazelnut.6) fun cultural events- the krishna temple in spanish fork always has something going on-we like the llama fest and tonight we are headed to the india fest. Also the city often has festivals for different countries. And innovate park has a farmers market every saturday that has superb european breads,mexican tamales thai move rolls whole wheat fry bread and of course local favorites like farm fresh peaches and raw honey.7)improved environmental awareness- the environmental issues in this express got on my nerves more than just about anything-but there are improvements being made. On Saturday I went to the first "living green" expo that had improved public transportations projects explanations ideas and speakers about what we can do to lessen the pollution in the area and petitions to the governor and the senate about not drilling for oil. I was very excited.8)lots of classes-between the two local universities and rec centers- its not too hard to sight a class for education or for fun. I comfort miss community colleges though.9)The mountains- I like seeing the mountains every measure I go outside.10) lots of fun outdoor activities-you don't have to go far for hiking biking camping running walking tubing or change surface skiing in the pass. There is more- but I just wanted to let everyone know-that even in Provo there is much to be grateful for.
