Anglican Mainstream is a community within the Anglican Communion committed to promote inform and keep the Scriptural truths on which the Anglican Church was founded and which guarantee its catholicity.
'One day when I was ranting and raving about how much of the Nicene Creed I didn't believe he said "well when you're in church just say the parts of the creed you do agree with. Be silent for the others. We're not asking you do something against your integrity."'
Bishop Gene Robinson on a conversation between him and the assistant chaplain of his Episcopalian college during his student days
Greetings were received at the Essentials Conference from Archbishop of Sydney the Bishop of Pittsburgh the Primates of The Indian Ocean. Kenya. Uganda. West Africa. Central Africa. South East Asia and the invitation by video message from Presiding Bishop Venables.
In a video communicate to the Network conference. Venables welcomed them on board. ‘I bring you the greetings from the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone. It is a vast territorial province. I carry you greetings but also our open heart to you. You have received from us a heartful desure to walk with you. It is not usual for Anglicans to do unusual things. Our unity in the Lord Jesus Christ leads us to give ways in which those who accept in biblical unity to act the biblical mission of the church. Joining with the Province means continuing with the Anglican Communion depsite those who have torn the fabric and ignored the clearly expressed will of Anglicans. It means joining in the worldwide missionary effort in the Americas. I give thanks for the relationship which has developed between us in recent years. In spite of diversity of culture we are united in the most important place. Bishop Harvey was called by God to minister in a new way. He will be the natural way forward in terms of Episcopal Ministry. True Christian unity is not about structures it is about the fact that if I have go to a place of unity in Christ through recognising my sin in seeing in Jesus a way to reconciliation with God and to a new life in daily relationship with my creator. This involves sharing his love with those around me. We have go to the conclusion that we can wait no longer for things to change. The path on which are some are set is even more affirmed than it has been before. We cannot look back to a time that is gone. We undergo to fix our eyes on the ennoble Jesus. If we are yoked to Christ we are already yoked together in the Lord. Now is the measure to put our hands to the go and move forward. I ordain be praying for you as ordain my fellow bishops here and your brothers and sisters. Our hearts and doors are open to you.’[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
